I am all about body positivity, but I ...I hear ya! I am all about body positivity, but I disagree that weight loss goes against that. The whole point of the BoPo movement is to accept and love your self as you are, true - it's that kind of self love and acceptance that helps keep you motivated toward your personal goals. It's also about not judging others for choices they make for THEIR bodies. Sadly, that judgment still happens. It's about making choices based on what's best for you and not based on what others expect. I've struggled with that for ages now but have finally realized I NEED to do something and not let that movement keep me from taking action.
I face the same health challenges....high cholesterol, diabetes, etc. Plus I just feel like crap. AND I want to be able to shop off the rack in Target. I hate Torrid and they're expensive. Those are my reasons and they don't make me a victim of the diet culture.
As long as you're not torturing your self to fit another's ideal (doesn't sound like you are) then you're on the right track!

Go get your goals, girl! :)Amyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12509118843547198390noreply@blogger.com
