We need a committee about forming committees!

I work in an academic environment. Needless to say, it's boring around here in the summer. Today's amusement is the recording of last night's opening ceremonies of GA. I played "spot the people I know." I mean.. it was interesting and all, but yes, there is that little work in the summer.

Watching something like that makes me want to join a committee at church, and make a difference. But then I wonder, who cares what I have to say? (Or is this just PMS speaking. PMS speaks very loudly at times) I already give my time and my voice to the church, every Thursday for Choir. I somehow fell in with the Young Adults (I don't consider myself young!) and am now on the LGBT outreach (or whatever we end up calling it) committee. Do I have time for more? Most likely, no. I'll have to be content that my voice will be heard in those groups. I'll have to be content that I'm also giving all the money I am able to give (which is a sore subject).

But now, I'm going to feed my noisy belly, and find some music. They'll be more work to do after lunch.
