Dreams

We all have them. I wanted to open up a book store at one point. It would sell used and new books, and feature a coffee shop. Think Barnes and Noble, but used books. It would never fly. I know that.

The Spousal Equivalent dreams of owning a bar/night club. He's actually going to go to school with that goal in mind. I admire him for it.

I pass an empty car dealership (it's across the street where the dream house is). I dream of opening up a Performing Arts school in it. I can imagine how to turn the building into dance studios, a stage, classrooms and practice rooms.

I think I have to get a smaller dream. I'll stick to my dream of a Disney vacation, and a rental house with a small lawn.

What would have happened if Martin Luther King Jr. or Martha Graham never followed their dreams? Society, and the world of dance, would be a very different place. -:)

(Of course, realism and responsibilities play dramatically into this...but it's just something to think about.)
